Analysis of CFRP Confined Concrete Cylinders by using ABAQUS Software

Abstract: The fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) wrapping is widely used in concrete column strengthening, as it can enhance concrete strength and ductility. This study aims to develop finite element numerical model that can capture the behavior of the short cylinder column confined with CFRP. After validating the proposed finite element models with previous experimental works, a series of parametric studies have been conducted, including, CFRP number of layers, concrete grade, confinement configuration, and size of samples… Show more

“…But the process of erosion occurs due to chemical or physical forces [22][23][24][25][26][27]; for example, the erosion of rocks occurs due to rainwater falling on them. In short, the erosion process may occur as part of the erosion process but the erosion process cannot occur as a result of the erosion [28][29][30][31][32] as appearance in Figure 1.…”

“…The results demonstrate that the modified similarity solution is appropriate for calculating the thermal resistance and pressure drops for the heat sinks concerning the regularly impinging jet. Jasim et al, [21][22][23][24] used experimental and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methods to study the influence of multiple circular stenosis on pin fin designing on improve heat transition and decrease pressure drop across the small channel heat sinks [25][26][27][28]. The indication of the results that the pin fins heat sink with multiple circular stenosis have lesser pressure drop and high heat transition, difference to regular pin heat sink.…”
