Involutional changes that occur as a consequence of the ageing process, such as a decrease in muscular strength or a decrease in the movement range of joints, can lead to a decrease in locomotion quality, such as a deceleration of walking speed and pace length (Branowski & Gabryelski, ; Fabisiak, Kłos, Wiaderek, & Sydor, ; Marciniak, Wiszomirska, Kaczmarczyk, & Kozdroń, ; Sydor, ). Furthermore, elderly people usually possess a shorter body height, shorter limbs and decreased mobility of the limbs compared with those between 20‐ and 60‐year old.…”
