Abstract:Bending is one of the causes of signal transmission loss through the electromagnetic wave medium in the optical fiber. There are two types of bending lossess: microbending and macrobending. Both of them occur when the surface of the optical fiber cable experiences external pressure which causes deformation in the core of the optical fiber.
