Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study is how are the differences in students' critical thinking skills in physics subjects using discovery and problem-based learning models at Madrasah Aliyah Laboratory in Jambi City. Methodology: The research design used by researchers is a quantitative research type of quasi-experimental design using a pretest-posttest control group design, with a total sample of 56 students using a total sampling technique. The instrument in this study used a test with a Cronbach alpha of 0.919. The data analysis used includes descriptive and inferential statistics. Main Findings: Based on the data analysis and discussion above, it can be concluded that students' critical thinking skills in physics subjects in static electricity material are in a good category. This indicates that the application of discovery learning models and problem-based learning can improve the thinking skills of critical students. This is reinforced by testing the hypothesis through an independent sample t-test that there is a significant difference between the use of the two models in improving students' critical thinking skills, especially in physics lessons on static electricity. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research has a novelty, especially in cognitive, namely critical thinking skills, which can be improved with a scientific approach, especially using discovery learning models and problem-based learning.

This research is the first to conduct a systematic review of the concept of tolerance character in the context of physics learning. The research aims to explore the definition, measurement, and development of tolerance character among high school students through physics learning. The method used in this research is the literature review method. Sampling in this study was carried out by looking for several scientific articles from previous research on the character of tolerance found on Google Scholar, which were then examined and conclusions drawn. Results of the analysis of articles regarding the character of tolerance in learning physics in high school found that the character of tolerance is a character that needs to be instilled in students at the high school education level through learning physics. The research also identified the benefits, challenges, and strategies of fostering tolerance in physics learning, such as enhancing students’ critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills, overcoming misconceptions and stereotypes, and using inquiry-based, problem-based, and cooperative learning methods. This character of tolerance can be taught and applied in education through learning, one of which is learning physics. The novelty of this research is that it provides a comprehensive and systematic overview of the existing literature on the concept of tolerance character in the context of physics learning. The research also contributes to the literature on physics education and character education by highlighting the role of physics learning in enhancing the tolerance character of high school students.

Tujuan Penelitian: Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yaitu untuk mengetahui indikator pekarakter peduli lingkungan. Dimana menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Metode Penelitian: Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah total sampling dan purposive sampling dengan jumlah 18 siswa. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Temuan Utama: Didapatkan hasil dari nilai signifikansi SDS Suria Harapan terhadap penggunaan modul cetak dan modul elektronik yang berbasis kearifan lokal ngubat padi, dimana terdapat nilai sig 0,605 untuk modul cetak dan 0,519 untuk modul elektronik , berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat dikatakan data distribusi normal. Keterbaruan Penelitian: Keterbaharuan pada penelitian ini terlatak pada modul elektronik dan modul cetak yang digunakan peneliti dimana mengintegrasikan kepada kearifan lokal yang ada sehingga dapat meningkatkan karakter peduli lingkungan. Sedangkan keterbatasan pada penelitian ini yaitu hanya terfokus pada kelas V sekolah dasar.
