Análise fatorial para sexualidade e fatores de risco entre adolescentes escolares no Pará: o estudo PeNSE 2015

Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the risk factors for the beginning of sexual life among school adolescents in the PeNSE study in Pará in 2015. Ecological study using data from PeNSE in Pará (N = 3834), with 52.2% being sex female and mean age of 14.42 (± 1.23). The independent variables were subjected to exploratory factor analysis with Varimax rotation. The Student's t test was used to verify the differences between the sexes and the formed factor components, with a significance of 5%. Of the 1184 (30.9%) adolescents who had already started sexually, 749 (63.3%) were male (p = 0.001) and 929 (78.46%) were aged between 14 and 16 years (p = 0.001). The average age at the first sexual intercourse was 13.96 ± 1.39 and 12.87 ± 1.9 years for men and women, respectively (p = 0.001).
