Análise faciológica da Formação Alter do Chão (Cretáceo, Bacia do Amazonas), próximo à cidade de Óbidos, Pará, Brasil

Abstract: Resumo Depósitos cretáceos da Formação Alter do Chão, expostos em barrancos do rio Amazonas, próximos da cidade de Óbidos -PA, são caracterizados por arenitos, conglomeratos e pelitos. Sete litofácies foram reconhecidas que compreendem conglomerado maciço (Cm), arenitos com estratifi cações acanalada (Aa) e tabular (At), arenito com laminação cruzada cavalgante (Al) e pelitos maciço (PM), bioturbado (PB) e deformado (Pd).
