“…From those figures, we can see that the oxygen percentage on the surface of the sample with non-optimum parameter (100 ºC, 3 hours, 1,2 mbar) is 15,7 % while on the surface of the sample with optimum parameter (125 ºC, 4 hours, 1,2 mbar) is 29,3 %. The presence of oxygen after plasma nitriding was due to preparation process and the impurity of the nitrogen gas used during plasma nitriding [5].
