“…Other species in Sample 201025‐15R, such as Albaillella cavitata ranges from latest Capitanian to early Changhsingian (Nishikane et al, 2011; Sashida & Tonishi, 1986); N. inflata ranges from late Guadalupian to Changhsingian (Kuwahara et al, 2004; Sashida & Tonishi, 1986; Wang & Yang, 2011); T. musashiensis ranges from Wuchiapingian to Changhsingian (Kuwahara & Sano, 2017; Sashida & Tonishi, 1988); Nazarovella scalae ranges from Capitanian to Changhsingian (Feng et al, 2006; Kuwahara & Sano, 2017; Wang & Yang, 2011). The genera Areolicaudatus (Feng, 1992a), Grandetortura and Kashiwara (Sashida & Tonishi, 1985, 1991) have been also reported from the Upper Permian in western Yunnan, China and Japan. It is hence reasonable to assume that radiolarians from Sample 201025‐15R have a Late Permian, very probably Wuchiapingian‐early Changhsingian age.…”

“…Therefore, Feng et al (2009) emphasized that the A. levis Zone might have a long age range from Wuchiapingian to Changhsingian (Table 1). “…The species diversity ratio of Spumullaria, Entactinaria, and Latentifistularia is 0.33:0.33:0.33. The radiolarian fauna from the Meishan section contains the Latentifistularia Grandetortura nipponica Sashida & Tonishi, 1991 and the Spumellarian Copicyntra robustodentata Kozur & Mostler, 1989, Copicyntroides sp., and Copicyntroides sp. cf.…”
