“…The treatment strategy for CA should be based on the guidelines for primary lung cancer. In our study, two of the six cases had lymph node metastasis, similar to previous reports . Moreover, one case with pN2 had postoperative recurrence.…”

“…In our study, six patients with CA were identified (Table ). Table shows a summary of the five previous reports on CA and a comparison of those reports with our clinical data . Although our study consisted of a small series, the clinical characteristics of our patients were similar to those previously reported.…”

“…IMA, ICA and IEA share many phenotypic traits, which are opposed to conventional non‐mucinous adenocarcinomas and HPAME. Expression of NK2 homeobox 1/thyroid‐specific transcription factor‐1 (NKX2‐1/TTF‐1) , napsin A aspartic peptidase (NAPSA) , surfactant protein A1 (SFTPA1) , caudal type homeobox 2 (CDX2) , keratin 20 (KRT20) , mucin 1 cell surface associated (MUC1) , mucin 2 oligomeric mucus/gel‐forming (MUC2) , mucin 5AC oligomeric mucus/gel‐forming (MUC5AC) , mucin 6 oligomeric mucus/gel‐forming (MUC6) and hepatocyte nuclear factor 4 alpha (HFN4A) , have been variably reported onto emphasize the inherent heterogeneity of these tumours. Furthermore, IMA may even express neuroendocrine (NE) markers and sex steroid hormone receptors .The molecular landscape of IMA, ICA, IEA and, to lesser extent, HPAME is dominated by KRAS , TP53 and LKB1/STK11 over Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) mutations , while the CD74‐NRG1 fusion genes has been documented in 13–27% KRAS ‐wild type tumours .…”

“…Zenali MJ et al (2015) 17 indicated frequent CDX2 expression in colloid carcinomas. Immuspecifi c in distinguishing primary and metastatic adenocarcinomas of the lung, because in certain types of mucin-producing lung tumors, especially mucinous BAC, TTF1 expression often is absent.…”
