Abstract:In this paper, we present a new kind of high-frequency analog phase shifter suitable for ultrawide-band operation.Phase tuning is obtained with a local oscillator (LO) producing two coherent phase-shifted signals which are mixed with the incident radio-frequency (RF) signal. Measurements on a prototype exhibit a 20: 1 operational bandwidth. We discuss system design rules and bandwidth limitations. 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Control Voltage in Voit Fig. 5: Wrelative phase shifts vs. control voltage for frequencies ranging … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
