The rise in demand for automobiles has resulted in a palpable increase in the traffic density, thereby giving way to more road accidents over time. Many a times, casualties of a road accident fail to live after they fall victim to poor emergency facilities and inadequate accident response time. It is not viable to anticipate road accidents but the repercussions can be minimized at the very least. If given immediate medical attention and care, the number of deaths caused as a result of road accidents could be reduced to a considerably low number. The primary hindrance in casualties receiving appropriate medical care is the fact that the rescue services do not receive any piece of information about the accident and sometimes, even when the information is passed on, it is usually received late. Hence to ensure that victims get adequate medical help on time, there is a need for an efficient automatic system. The Crash Signaling System uses a combination of technologies such as vibration sensor, Zigbee, GSM and GPS modules that detects the impact of the accident as well as the point of accident and conveys the information of the location to the nearby emergency care unit. It also sends information about the point of accident to the vehicles in the vicinity which then would help the drivers of oncoming vehicles to stay alert and drive cautiously. The ZigBee module assists in sending the alert message about the point of accident to the vehicles in the vicinity. The proposed system ensures that the emergency services are made accessible to accident victims in a timely manner and shares the information of the accident to the nearest hospital or rescue team via a GSM module. Besides it also sends a message to the victim’s emergency contacts. This system can be used in all in all vehicles for accident detection and reporting. VANET is a similar wireless communication technology which employs V2V and V2I

Abstract-It is estimated that more than half of the world population lives in cities according to (UN forecasts, 2014), so cities are vital. Cities, as we all know facing with complex challenges -for smart cities the outdated traditional planning of transportation, environmental contamination, finance management and security observations are not adequate. The developing framework for smart-city requires sound infrastructure, latest current technology adoption. Modern cities are facing pressures associated with urbanization and globalization to improve quality-of-life of their citizens. A framework model that enables the integration of cloud-data, social network (SN) services and smart sensors in the context of smart cities is proposed. A service-oriented radical framework enables the retrieval and analysis of big data sets stemming from Social Networking (SN) sites and integrated smart sensors collecting data streams for smart cities. Smart cities' understanding is a broad concept transportation sector focused in this article. Fuzzification is shown to be a capable mathematical approach for modelling traffic and transportation processes. To solve various traffic and transportation problems a detailed analysis of fuzzy logic systems is developed. This paper presents an analysis of the results achieved using Mamdani Fuzzy Inference System to model complex traffic processes. These results are verified using MATLAB simulation.

Routing over low power and lossy networks (RPL) is a standardized routing protocol for constrained Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) environments. The main node's constraints include processing capability, power, memory, and energy. RPL protocol describes how WSN nodes create a mesh topology, enabling them to route sensor data. Unfortunately, various attacks exist on the RPL protocol that can disrupt the topology and consume nodes' energy. In this article, the authors propose an intrusion detection system (IDS) based on self-organizing map (SOM) neural network to cluster the WSN routing attacks, and hence notify the system administrator at an early stage, reducing the risk of interrupting the network and consuming nodes' power. Results showed that the proposed SOM architecture is able to cluster routing packets into three different types of attacks, as well as clean data.
