Abstract:University performance has an important effect on the social influence of universities. With increasing emphasis placed on higher education, it is important to improve and optimize university performance management. However, the performance of university management is affected by numerous indicators in practice, and it is difficult for administrators to optimize all of them because of resource restriction. To address this concern, in this paper, we design a novel integrated model by combining linguistic hesita… Show more

Global health systems face shortages of resources and, above all, money, with a simultaneous increase in health spending, as well as doubts about their effectiveness. In addition, there is a growing sense of greater achievement of the essential goal of clinical effectiveness. In the face of these problems, many centres are working on a new system of financing healthcare providers, primarily hospitals, which provide the most expensive medical services. In the opinion of the authors, an essential element for the implementation of VBHC is a comprehensive knowledge of hospitals, health care, the economy, public finances and the behaviour of members of society, based on KPIs. The work on these is not well advanced, and it seems that without the knowledge of economic and social determinants, it will not be possible to implement an affective VBHC model. Therefore, in the present article, after presenting the current state of research regarding the VBHC, personalised medicine as a prerequisite for achieving clinical effectiveness, and KPIs as a prerequisite for achieving economic efficiency, the authors focus on economic and sociological KPIs. The knowledge gained from this study is necessary to make effective decisions for the appropriate operation of healthcare as a system, and of hospitals in particular.

Due to the large volume of customers' banking information, classical algorithms face challenges in extracting knowledge and the decision-making process, so algorithms based on artificial intelligence and data mining can help this area. In this paper, we have presented a new model based on the artificial neural network and particle swarm optimization algorithm to improve bank customers' decision-making indicators. The proposed method is based on artificial neural networks and particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. Due to the large volume of available data, the pure neural network can not achieve proper convergence in this area and suffers divergence or overfit. In this paper, the PSO algorithm is used to optimize neural network weights in extracting knowledge from user's banking data to improve the decision indicators. To evaluate the proposed method, two scenarios of optimized neural network using PSO and pure neural networks are used to make decisions between good and bad customers. Then, to evaluate the efficiency of the proposed method, the parameters of accuracy, Sensitivity, and Specificity for both scenarios were extracted and compared. The evaluations show that the accuracy of the optimized neural network is about 97%. In contrast, this value in the pure neural network is about 94%, indicating the proposed method's better performance. The proposed method also has better performance in the sensitivity parameter and feature selection and avoids overfitting than primary neural networks.
“…The changes are taking place in the economy and career processes are getting transformed too. Few years ago, employee considered themselves to be employed by any organization for the life time and it was all steady upward career path and employee loyalty with his organization traditionally (Zhang, Jiang, Liu, & Liu, 2020). However, in dynamic environment, no-one can guarantee for life time employment in the same organization.…”
Section: Protean Career Orientation and Perceived Employabilitymentioning
The study explored the mediating effect of Perceived Employability (PE) on faculty members’ protean career orientation (PCO) and Career Success (CS). The study is exploratory in nature which aimed to ascertain the mediating relationship of perceived employability between protean career orientation and career success of faculty members working in public sector institutions of higher learning. The researchers tried to test protean career theory by developing a conceptual framework. Data were gained through self-administrated questionnaires from the faculty members working in Punjab’s Public Sector Universities. For the purpose of sampling: stratified sampling technique was applied for data collection. Data were obtained from 269 respondents’ for testing the theoretical model. Measurement model was analyzed by applying Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) for testing the hypothesis. For this purposed we used SMART-PLS Licensed version 3. The researchers detected a statistically significant mediating role of perceived employability between protean career orientation and subjective career success. Due to the scarcity of financial and time constraints we have collected data from only 12 universities of Punjab, Pakistan. However, the results can be generalized as all the public sector universities are governed by same governing body; named Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
