An Integrated Analog Front‐End System on Flexible Substrate for the Acquisition of Bio‐Potential Signals

Abstract: The application of a versatile, low-temperature thin-film transistor (TFT) technology is presently described as the implementation on a flexible substrate of an analog front-end (AFE) system for the acquisition of bio-potential signals. The technology is based on semiconducting amorphous indium-gallium-zinc oxide (IGZO). The AFE system consists of three monolithically integrated constituent components: a bias-filter circuit with a bio-compatible low cut-off frequency of ≈1 Hz, a 4-stage differential amplifier … Show more

“…In Section 3 is described the technique of fluorination to reduce the scattering of TFT parameters and to improve the reliability of a TFT against electrical stress (2). Finally in Section 4, the utility of the improved 300-℃ technology is demonstrated by the construction of a gatedriver on array (GOA) for active-matrix displays (7), an analog frontend (AFE) for acquiring bio-potential signals (8), and an artificial neural network (ANN) for neuromorphic computing (9).…”
