“…10,11 With regard to these particular applications, the development of novel approaches to synthesize Hap using various Ca and P sources is now a vital task for researchers. Nevertheless, to expand the biomaterial research eld, a signicant number of procedures have been developed by scientists to synthesize Hap, such as wet chemical precipitation, 1,12,13 electrochemical methods, 14,15 solid-state reactions, 16 hydrothermal, 17,18 microemulsion, 19 sol-gel 20 and microwave irradiation 21 methods and so on. It must be mentioned here that the synthesis protocols strictly regulate the morphology and structural characteristics of Hap, which eventually control its biomedical applications.…”

“…This method requires the longer process. In another our work [18,19], we conclude that water reduction at cathode to produce hydroxide ions is very important process in HA formation. The problem in the electrochemical method is the concentration of OHions produced by water reduction difficult increase due they move away from the cathode and react with H + ions produced by water oxidation in the anode.…”

“…This observation is in accordance with previous work. 34,35 The overall process may be expressed as described by the following equations.…”

“…Although it was noticed that the OH − quantity increased around the cathode, the oxygen generation process was not elucidated in detail. 34,35 In this work, a new electrochemical sensor based on CaP transformation was prepared by in situ formation of ACP and OCP deposited on a Nafion-coated glassy carbon electrode (GCE) (denoted as CaPs/Nafion). The CaPs modified on the electrode can be viewed as the starting material for the transition to HAP, which was manifested by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and Raman characterizations.…”
