In the construction of first-class undergraduate majors in Shanghai, the port and shipping management majors of Shanghai Maritime University put a particular emphasis on students' practical knowledge and application skills. Based on characteristics of this kind of majors, this paper analyzes and aims at the top-level design for students' participation in the internship at port and shipping enterprises. Through the implementation of specific internship programs, it shows that the design is reasonable and operable, which is conducive to the realization of cultivation objectives set forth by port and shipping management majors.

RESUMOO objetivo deste estudo foi analisar a implementação de um Programa Vivencial em Gestão de Projetos (PVGP) para a formação prática na graduação e especialização em Administração. A pesquisa baseia-se nas teorias da aprendizagem vivencial, gestão de projetos e jogos de empresas, que subsidiaram a estrutura de análise a partir da indicação de fatores analíticos essenciais. Utilizou-se o estudo de caso como estratégia de pesquisa e, para compreender as opiniões sobre a vivência e empregou-se a observação participante para compreender as opiniões sobre a vivência. O estudo ocorreu em três disciplinas de Gestão de Projetos do 6º período da graduação em Administração, abrangendo 71 alunos, e em uma turma do curso de especialização em Logística Empresarial, com 25 participantes. Em suas fases, estão descritas a elaboração do programa educacional com os ajustes do simulador Project Management Simulation (PMS-SIM), os materiais didáticos e a aplicação do programa em formatos de curta e longa duração. As análises das opiniões dos participantes indicaram a contribuição do programa para a prática da gestão, trazendo benefícios para a área de educação gerencial, como a proposta de um recurso tecnológico, simulador organizacional PMS-SIM e o PVGP como alternativa aos modelos convencionais de educação, que permitem a prática dos conceitos e o desenvolvimento de habilidades. ABSTRACTThe objective of this research was to analyze the implementation of an Experiential Program in Project Management (EPPM) for practical training in Business Administration graduation and specialization. The research is based on experiential learning, project management and business games theories that subsidized the structure of analysis from the indication of essential analytical factors. It was used a case study as a research strategy and it was implemented the participant observation in order to understand the opinions about the experience. The study was carried out in three Project Management subjects of the 6th semester Business Administration graduation, covering 71 students, and in a specialization course in Business Logistics with 25 participants. In its phases, it is described the elaboration of the educational program with the adjustments of the simulator Project Management Simulation (PMS-SIM), the teaching materials and the application of the program in short and long duration formats. The analyses of the participants' opinions indicated the contribution of the program to the practice of management, bringing benefits to the area of managerial education, such as the proposal of a technological resource, PMS-SIM organizational simulator and EPPM as an alternative to conventional models of education, which allow the practice of concepts and the development of skills.

A Portable Virtual LAB for Informatics Education using Open Source Software

Abstract-The need for students to have hands-on experience is very important in many disciplines to match the requirements of today's dynamic job market. Informatics, which is the science of information engineering, has been recently integrated into many academic programs. Teaching students the main skills in modern software and web development is essential for them to be successful informatics professionals. For any informatics program, students engage in working on projects as essential parts for some courses in their academic programs. This paper presents the development and evaluation of MiLAB (My Mobile Informatics Lab), a portable virtual lab environment for the teaching and learning of modern web development skills. MiLAB has been integrated into an undergraduate health informatics academic program to improve the teaching and learning of essential web development skills, such as databases management and customization of modern content management systems. The evaluation of MiLAB indicated that it served as an interactive personal environment for students to implement, collaborate, and present their web development projects. Strengths, weaknesses and possible improvements are also discussed.
