An Empirical Study of Carbon Emission Calculation in the Production and Construction Phase of A Prefabricated Office Building from Zhejiang, China

Abstract: This study analyzes an office building located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang region, with a high assembly rate of 96.8%. Based on whole-process records and first-hand factory data, using an original method, we empirically investigate the carbon emissions associated to the assembly production and construction phase by comparing the results collected in the field with the calculation results for the simulated non-prefabricated building. The calculation results show that the production and construction stage of the prefa… Show more

“…During the construction of various ecological slopes, carbon dioxide emissions primarily result from the energy consumption of construction equipment. This energy consumption mainly comes from fuel oil and electric energy, making these two types of energy the primary factors for evaluating carbon emissions [113].…”

“…Green spaces are the perfect environment to take a break from the stress and busyness of everyday life. In times of climate change, greening our cities has become an important strategy [20][21][22][23][24]. In Graz, the topic of urban greenery and vegetation is also being raised due to the controversy surrounding the Mur power plant, the Augarten Bay, and the poor air quality in recent years [25][26][27][28].…”

“…These people are often unfamiliar with participating in interviews. Therefore, it makes sense to conduct a brief discussion with them to clarify the course of such a scientific interview [23][24][25]. Residents from the district of Lend and people who worked there or were visitors to the GL took the role of laypersons.…”
