An Efficient Framework for Detection and Classification of IoT Botnet Traffic

Abstract: The Internet of Things (IoT) has become an integral requirement to equip common life. According to IDC, the number of IoT devices may increase exponentially up to a trillion in near future. Thus, their cyberspace having inherent vulnerabilities leads to various possible serious cyber-attacks. So, the security of IoT systems becomes the prime concern for its consumers and businesses. Therefore, to enhance the reliability of IoT security systems, a better and real-time approach is required. For this purpose, the… Show more

“…13,14 The chemi-resistive sensors are developed by numerous nanostructured materials including metal oxide semiconductor (MOS), graphene, conducting polymers, carbon nanotubes, and metal-organic frameworks. [15][16][17][18][19] In comparison to MOS, other nanostructures such as carbon nanotubes are relatively expensive and have poor selectivity. 20,21 Graphene-based CO 2 gas sensors are prone to conglomeration between layers, have a low yield, and have high prices.…”

“…And the optimal feature set based on Wilks' Λ-statistic presents the strongest discriminant ability for the seven classes of gas samples which also supports the results in Fig.6and Fig.7. Considering the imbalance of the dataset, indicators of precision, recall and F1-score57 are also employed to evaluate the performance more comprehensively, in addition to the accuracy. The overall recognition results are shown in the Table SIII of the supporting information.…”

[8][9][10] Soils are an essential part to all living being on Earth and its quality and properties directly affects the nature ecosystems. Soil macro nutrients are (nitrogen (N), phosphorous (P) & potassiumare (K)) necessary components for healthy crops growth.…”
