“…In summary, we have reported a supramolecular approach to construct an achiral supramolecular organic framework (SOF-1) formed from CB [8] and a TPE-based molecule (1) with four pyridinium-coumarin arms via host-guest interactions in water. The formation and characterization of SOF-1 was investigated using 1 H NMR, ITC, MS, DLS, SEM, TEM, and SAXS analysis.…”

“…Chiral framework materials are a new class of chiral materials that have been rapidly developed based on their highly regular structure, permanent porosity, and asymmetric interspace. [1] Specifically, chiral zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (ZIFs), [2] metal organic frameworks (MOFs), [3] and covalent organic frameworks (COFs), [4] as representatives of chiral framework materials, play important roles in chiral recognition/sensing, [5] chiral separation, [6] asymmetric catalysis, [7,8] drug delivery, [9] and chiroptical materials. [10] Usually, these coordinated and covalent approaches used to construct chiral framework materials require substantial effort toward the synthesis of their chiral building blocks or the introduction of chiral dopants and chiral ionic liquids via template effects.…”

“…This may be attributed to the enhancement of three-point interaction between the adsorbates and chiral frameworks. In 2019, Cao et al also reported the installation of three different commercially available chiral carboxylic acid molecules of Lhistidine, L-sodium tartrate and L-sodium glutamate into the nodes of MOF-808, 133 leading to chiral MOFs that show tunable enantioselective sorption performances in three representative enantiomers.…”

“…Post-synthetic modification (PSM) of MOFs through adjustment of the metal nodes, organic linkers and surface environments is considered as an economical and convenient way for tailoring the structures and properties of MOF materials. [34][35][36] A thiol group was successfully used to functionalize NH 2 -MIL-68(In) through the PSM method. 37 Two functional groups of alkenyl and thiol were successfully introduced into Cr-MIL-101 by a similar method.…”
