An algorithm for IoT based vehicle verification system using RFID

Abstract: The verification of vehicle documents is an important role of transport department which is rising day by day due to the mass registration of the vehicles. An automated vehicle verification system can improve the efficiency of this process.  In this paper, we propose an IOT based vehicle verification system using RFID technology. As a result, the vehicle checking which is done now manually can be replaced by automation. There is a loss of a significant amount of time when the normal vehicle checking is done ma… Show more

“…Moreover, many domains use this technology to increase the data entry speed and reduce human error in extracting data from document processing systems [24], [25]. Moreover, such technology has been increasingly applied in intelligence systems, IoT, cloud computing, and robotics, such as signboard text translation [26] and IoT-based vehicle verification systems [27]. Since 1969, when the US Army introduced the first application to use OCR technology in IBM 360 computers, the development of OCR technology has become much more convenient than in the past because many development tools have been introduced to support the OCR developer.…”

“…The M2X platform has a trigger function feature, enabling an integration to the IFTTT service using RESTful API to push mobile and e-mail notification to users. [17][18][19]. The Ardu in o Mega 2560 R3 was chosen in this study as it can support the firmware and libraries for microSD, ethernet shield, OLED display and M2X with its 128KB flash memory compared to Arduino UNO that has only 32KB.…”
