An AC Josephson Voltage Standard up to the Kilohertz Range Tested in a Calibration Laboratory

Abstract: This paper describes the development of an automated ac quantum voltmeter toward a turnkey system, which can be used for calibration of common dc and ac voltage standards. The setup was tested in an accredited commercial calibration laboratory to characterize Fluke 5700A calibrators and voltage standards. The measured voltage in dependence on various parameters is presented in the range of dc to 2 kHz with amplitudes up to 10 V. The uncertainty components are discussed, and the system relevant Type B uncertain… Show more

“…During the last years, however, much work has been done to accurately calibrate AC signals. The most accurate way is the use of an AC Quantum Voltmeter (ACQVM) [8]. The data analysis also is slightly different for an AC Kibble balance.…”

“…Arbitrary waveform generators (AWG) consisting of 4 channels of DACs, which are previously used for this purpose in [14] are selected. Using a synchronization cable up to 8 of these generators can be synchronized and act as a 32-channel generator.…”

“…To compare the measurements of the 4 types of finite impulse response filter [11] in the channel 1 for the PXI 5922, the timing shown in figure 6 is used. To simplify the measurement, only the 100 readings (16.6667 μs) following the first discarded 291 reading under the timing trigger are calculated, i.e.…”
