Abstract:Sanitary landfill leachate is a highly polluting complex matrix wastewater. It has high concentrations of ammoniacal nitrogen, phosphorus, carbonaceous matter and recalcitrant substances. The application of microalgae to remove pollutants from leachate has been investigated.
