Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to use a theoretical framework (i.e. resource-based view) to investigate causal relationships between the supply chain integration, market orientation, information technology (IT) application and firm performance of container shipping firms in Taiwan. Design/methodology/approach – The data are collected from 124 container shipping firms in Taiwan. The methodologies used in the paper are exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. Findings – The findings indicated that IT application and market orientation positively influence supply chain integration. It revealed that IT-based and market-oriented firms more easily integrate market information related to partners, departments and customers. Further, supply chain integration and market orientation have a positive effect on firm performance. Research limitations/implications – Such a result indicated a market-oriented firm quickly responds to market information and competitors’ strategies; and thus, it would make effort to offer satisfactory customer services in dynamically fluctuating markets, and obtain better firm performance. Also, the integration provides higher operation efficiency and obtains an enhanced performance improvement. Practical implications – The results also indicated that firms are able to develop their market-oriented strategies through electronic information transmission and exchange platform. Based on the study’s findings, managerial strategies are proposed to improve firm performance. Originality/value – This paper clarifies the concept of supply chain integration, market orientation and IT application in the context of container shipping, and investigates the inter-relationship between supply chain integration, market orientation, IT application and firm performance and develop a conceptual model in the context of container shipping.

Растущие объемы продаж повышают значимость средств анализа, большая часть кото-рых построена на принципах Knowledge Discovery in Databases, в связи с чем возникает про-блема выбора оптимальных схем хранения и обработки OLAP-кубов. Представлена структу-ра аналитической системы дилерского центра автомобилей. Разработана структура храни-лища данных и комплекс моделей процесса анализа продаж дилерского автоцентра. Сфор-мулирована методика анализа продаж дилерского центра автомобилей. Ключевые слова: дилерский центр, интеллектуальный анализ, продажи, Data Mining, сегментация данных, нейронная сеть. Введение Сложная экономическая ситуация в России, снижение доходов населения привели в по-следние годы к падению продаж новых и подержанных автомобилей на 45 и 19 % соответствен-но. По данным консалтингового агентства «PricewaterhouseCoopers», при текущих ценах на нефть восстановление российского рынка автомобилей может растянуться на 7 лет, однако уже в 2017 г. рост продаж легковых автомобилей в России может вырасти до 11 % [1]. Многие авто-мобильные дилерские центры в таких нестабильных условиях вынуждены диверсифицировать свою деятельность и отказаться от реализации новых автомобилей, перейдя на реализацию за-пасных частей для подержанных машин. В сложившихся условиях становится особенно актуальным отслеживать тенденции спада или роста в деятельности автоцентра, выявлять перспективные и бесперспективные виды ком-плектующих, а также такие товары, для продвижения которых на рынок следует приложить опре-деленные усилия [2]. Проведение интеллектуального анализа данных позволяет формировать конкретные и целенаправленные управленческие решения в части повышения синергетического эффекта продаж товаров [3], что особенно важно в современных экономических условиях [4]. Этапы построения анализа продаж дилерского автоцентра Для анализа продаж дилерского автоцентра предложена методика на основе подхода Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD)-извлечение знаний из баз данных. Она описывает по-следовательность действий, которую необходимо выполнить для обнаружения полезного знания. Подход KDD включает в себя этапы подготовки данных, выбора информативных признаков, по-строения моделей, постобработки и интерпретации полученных результатов [5, 6]. Ядром этого процесса являются методы Data Mining, которые позволяют обнаруживать закономерности и зна-ния. Рассмотрим последовательность этапов анализа продаж дилерского центра автомобилей. Этап 1. Формирование информационной базы для проведения анализа, включая проектиро-вание хранилища данных и извлечение данных из корпоративной системы дилерского автоцентра. Этап 2. Предобработка информационной базы и трансформация данных (приведение ти-пов, выделение временных интервалов, сортировка, группировка). Этап 3. Построение моделей анализа данных, разработка сценариев обработки с помо-щью методов Data Mining. Precision breeding techniques have been widely used to optimize expenses and increase livestock yields. Notwithstanding, the joint use of heterogeneous sensors and artificial intelligence techniques for the simultaneous analysis or detection of different problems that cattle may present has not been addressed. This study arises from the necessity to obtain a technological tool that faces this state of the art limitation. As novelty, this work presents a multi-agent architecture based on virtual organizations which allows to deploy a new embedded agent model in computationally limited autonomous sensors, making use of the Platform for Automatic coNstruction of orGanizations of intElligent Agents (PANGEA). To validate the proposed platform, different studies have been performed, where parameters specific to each animal are studied, such as physical activity, temperature, estrus cycle state and the moment in which the animal goes into labor. In addition, a set of applications that allow farmers to remotely monitor the livestock have been developed.
