Alveolar Echinococcosis—A Challenging Task for the Hepatobiliary Surgeon

Abstract: (1) Background: Alveolar echinococcosis (AE) is an ultimately fatal disease, whose only curative treatment is surgery. Due to its late presentation extended liver resections are often necessary.
