Abstract: Background: Classic 21-hydroxylase deficiency (21HD) presents some traits of the metabolic syndrome. Aim: To characterize discrete alterations of lipid and carbohydrate metabolism in children and young adults with classic 21HD, which could predict early atherogenesis.
