“…A high dose of molybdenum (100 mg/kg) lowers the relative abundance of Firmicutes and increases Proteobacteria, Deltaproteobacteria (class), Mytococcales (order), and Nanocystaceae (family) in hens. This altered gut profile induced by molybdenum was associated with lower serum antioxidant measures and increased circulating markers of impaired liver function (alanine transaminase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) (Wang et al 2019b).
