Alteration of 1,2-diacylglycerol content in ischemic and reperfused heart

Abstract: The myocardial 1,2-diacylglycerol (DG) and phospholipid levels during ischemia and reperfusion were studied in open-chest dogs by means of sequential epicardial minibiopsies, followed by quantification based on mass measurement technique. 1,2-DG level increased as early as 5 min after coronary ligation but decreased at 30 min.
