Abstract: Onderzoeksgegevens over psychische en relationele problemen, burnout en desillusionering van psychotherapeuten hebben het beeld van de onwankelbare therapeut aangetast. Er wordt een beschrijving gegeven van elementen die de keuze voor dit beroep tot een eigenaardige en gevaarlijke roeping maken.
