Abstract: Resumo A relação estabelecida numa das mais importantes festividades religiosas brasileiras – o Círio de Nazaré, em Belém do Pará – entre religião, festa e comida permite refletir sobre esse banquete sacrificial, tomando como mote o “paticídio”, que nos leva a pensar em sacrifício nas práticas religiosas contemporâneas.
