Allicin‐inspired disulfide derivatives containing quinazolin‐4(3H)‐one as a bacteriostat against Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae

Abstract: BACKGROUND Plant bacterial diseases have seriously affected the yield and quality of crops, among which rice bacterial leaf blight (BLB), caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae has seriously affected the yield of rice. As plant‐pathogenic bacteria gradually become resistant to existing bactericides, it is necessary to find effective bactericides with novel structures. RESULTS Herein, a series of compounds containing quinazolin‐4(3H)‐one and disulfide moieties were designed and synthesized using a facile synth… Show more

“…According to the previously reported method in our literature, 7c was incubated under stable conditions of 28 °C and 180 rpm until the negative control group reached the logarithmic stage. The concentration of the proteomics preparation was determined based on the optimal half-value optical density (OD).…”

“…The apoptotic effect triggered by W2 was evaluated by flow cytometry (BD FACSCalibur) according to our previous work with some slight modifications. 16,21 Different concentrations of W2 were added to the test tubes containing Xoo bacterial solution and incubated for 13 h. Then 100 μL bacterial solution was taken and the cells were stained with annexin V-FITC (5 μL) (ANNEXIN V-FITC/PI Apoptosis Detection Kit; Solarbio, Beijing, China) for 10 min under dark and RT conditions, followed by PI (10 μL) stained for 5 min. The sample data were analyzed using FLOW JO software.…”
