“…It is very unlikely that any remaining benzoyl peroxide is released from the hardened cement and even if it were, the benzoyl peroxide molecule would not be stable for long because, on contact with blood or serum, benzoyl peroxide decomposes to benzoic acid and oxygen within seconds (40).
