“…The PXRD pattern shows the structural integrity of compound 1 after the removal process (Figure S9). Based on these, we believe that the efficient anion exchange between Cr 2 O 7 2− and NO 3 − ions in channels of compound 1 has played a key role in the process of dichromate removal …”

“…The result shows that the maximum uptake capacity of 1 for Cr 2 O 7 2− ions reaches 222.5 mg g −1 . Such a value is higher than most of known Cr 2 O 7 2− adsorption amounts for MOF materials based on ion‐exchange (Table S3) . In addition, Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms have also been applied to evaluate their maximum adsorption capacity.…”

“…To selective adsorption of hexavalent chromium, a new MOF H 16 [Zr 6 O 16 (H 2 PATP) 4 ]Cl 8 (H 2 PATP=2‐((pyridine‐1‐ium‐2‐ylmethyl)ammonio)terephthalate), denoted as MOR‐2 (metal‐organic resin‐2) was synthesized successfully . MOR‐2 captured 194 mg Cr VI /g within 1 min through particularly strong binding with dichromate and could be recycled several cycles with slight loss (<20%) of capacity.…”

“…In recent years, metal−organic frameworks (MOFs) have been extensively used to fabricate multifunctional luminescent probes for sensing of the target anions, cations or small organic molecule, because their interesting fluorescence properties can be regulated by changing the metal ion/cluster units and organic ligands . Recently, MOFs have also been studied for the sensing of toxic species such as Cr 2 O 7 2− and CrO 4 2− anions from aqueous solution For example, Wang et al.…”
