Algorithmic Optimization of the Calculation with the Consideration of the Interconnection of the Basic Economic Parameters of the Flight Route of the Model Air Carrier

Abstract: The load factor is the determining factor for airlines in economic terms and the prediction of the future development of the flight route. The combination of load factor and break-even point provides the airline with a comprehensive picture of the business of the flight route and the optimization of pricing for the flight route. The purpose of the article is to propose and adapt the development of air transport prices on a given line using maximally recalculated values and maximize profit. The optimized calcul… Show more

“…This indicator was measured by previous studies as the break-even load factor (e.g. Manuela et al , 2016; Škurla Babić et al , 2017; Szabo et al , 2020). Some studies have adopted other measures, such as the monetary value break-even point, or the number of passengers per kilometer (e.g.…”

“…Most studies compare the load factor of various airlines and the break-even load factor (e.g. Manuela et al , 2016; Škurla Babić et al , 2017; Szabo et al , 2020). Many studies that examine the effectiveness of airline performance in uncertainties, crises and pandemics have used the break-even point to analyze the performance of airlines (e.g.…”

“…The load factor is one of the significant considerations for the economic analysis of the airline. Load factor and break-even point are the determining factors in the line profitability deterrence process and lead the company to optimize pricing policy based on those parameters [10]. Since the birth of flight in 1903, air travel has developed as a crucial means of transportation for people and products.…”
