Soccer fans’ aggressiveness has serious consequences for individuals and society. However, its predictive factors have been poorly investigated. This study aimed to examine variables that predict soccer fans’ aggressiveness. This survey, correlational and cross-sectional research involved 210 participants, which were equivalent in crowd type (105 belonging to organized fan crowds and 105 not belonging to organized fan crowds), sex and age. The measurement instruments were: sociodemographic, occupational and behavioural questionnaires; the Fanaticism Scale for Football Fans; and the Buss and Perry Aggression Questionnaire. Results showed high aggressiveness in both groups and correlations between aggressiveness and fanaticism, sociodemographic and behavioural variables. Furthermore, the predictors of aggressiveness were fanaticism, age and time affiliated with the organized crowd. Therefore, it is concluded that sociodemographic and behavioural variables and fanaticism are important for understanding this phenomenon.

Inequalities between men and women in the workplace are reflected in professional sports, specifically football refereeing. This phenomenon sometimes becomes sexual harassment since it is a stereotypically considered male profession in which women are a minority. To measure that behavior, it is necessary to count on valid and reliable tools. Therefore, the goal of this study was to determine the factorial structure and the discriminant and convergent validity of the ‘sexual experiences questionnaire’, version of the Department of Defence (SEQ-DoD). Eighty-nine male football referees and ninety-four female football referees, with a mean age of 23.30 ± 4.85 years, participated in this studio conducted questionnaire in Andalusia, Spain. A confirmatory factor analysis was performed using the robust maximum-likelihood estimation method. The goodness of fit was assessed, and the factorial invariance was calculated to determine the stability of the model. Subsequently, the validity was confirmed. The results corroborated the validity and reliability of the questionnaire adapted to the population studied. Therefore, it can be used as a research instrument.

Na contemporaneidade, a violência e as torcidas organizadas têm se colocado como importantes objetos de investigação nos estudos do futebol. Tendo isso em vista, o presente trabalho objetiva descrever e discutir como a criação de regulamentos de prevenção à violência nos estádios de futebol, impactou as vivências e os modos de atuação de torcedores membros de um subgrupo de uma organizada, com sede na cidade de Belo Horizonte/MG. Para tanto, realizamos um trabalho de campo, entre os anos de 2014 a 2017, entrevistando integrantes de uma torcida organizada e moradores da “Sé7ima7” - área habitada por pessoas que possuem um baixo status socioeconômico, localizada na região Noroeste da capital mineira. A organização do material teórico e empírico se deu a partir do levantamento de normativas relacionadas à alteração do Estatuto de Defesa do Torcedor em 2010 e à implantação do Juizado Especial Criminal (JECrim), juntamente com a observação de elementos relativos à reforma do Estádio Mineirão e aos relatos de torcedores organizados sobre esses fatos. Como resultados, podemos dizer que o grupo estudado passou a adotar novas práticas corporais nas arquibancadas, caracterizadas por uma maior preocupação em controlar o comportamento dos torcedores e pela institucionalização de regras no interior do próprio grupo a fim de resguardar a torcida organizada de penalidades por comportamentos julgados como inadequados.
