The food crop agriculture sector contributes negatively when Indonesia's economic growth experiences growth. These conditions are very different from the beginning of the pandemic. This is presumably due to the declining welfare of food crop farmers. Since the pandemic, the exchange rate of food crop farmers (NTPP) has been below 100, even though before the pandemic the value of NTPP was never below 100. This decrease comes from the low increase in income compared to the increase in expenditure during the pandemic compared to the period before the pandemic, so it is necessary to look at the factors causing that. Data analysis by looking at the difference in the average value of the components that affect Indonesia's NTPP value before the pandemic and during the pandemic on all components that make up the NTPP value both in terms of income (It) and expenditure (Ib). The result of this study is the difference in the average value of income is lower than the expenditure of food crop farmers. The difference in the value of It which is lower than Ib is the contribution of rice farmers. Meanwhile, the high difference in the average value of farmers' expenditures stems from the high difference in the average value of household consumption (KRT) in the form of clothing and food. And the average difference in BPPBM comes from wages for labor, capital goods, and fertilizers & pesticides.
