Ageing characteristics related to cation exchange and interlayer spacing of some Brazilian bentonites

Abstract: This study investigated the influence of cation type on the sodium deactivation of Brazilian bentonite varieties. Four bentonite clays were studied, including three mixed-cationic and one magnesium.
