Abstract:Aerosol-cloud interactions are a major source of uncertainty in weather and climate models. These interactions and associated precipitation feedbacks are modulated by spatial distributions of aerosols on global and regional scales. Aerosols also vary on mesoscales, including around wildfires, industrial regions, and cities, but the impacts of variability on these scales are understudied. Here, we first present observations of covarying mesoscale aerosol and cloud distributions on the mesoscale. Then, using a h… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
