Adventuring Physics: Integration of Adventure Game and Augmented Reality Based on Android in Physics Learning

Abstract: One of the difficulties in physics learning is the low motivation to learn because physics materials are considered complex, boring, and abstract for students. Therefore, this research developed an Augmented Reality (AR)-integrated game application "Adventuring Physics" based on android that can create more fun physics learning and provide concept visualization on abstract materials so that they become easier for students to understand. This study aims to develop a valid and practical application of Adventurin… Show more

“…This study aims to provide an overview of the data originating from the results of a questionnaire regarding student and lecturer acceptance of the use of webinar tutorials during the COVID-19 pandemic. The data from the research results were analyzed in a quantitative descriptive manner in which the results of the questionnaire were presented in a table accompanied by percentage and average calculations as well as a description of the criteria achieved, namely data originating from a questionnaire that was carried out by analyzing the total score items based on the Likert scale (Arzak & Prahani, 2023;Lorencia & Jatmiko, 2021;Prahani et al, 2020;Rizki et al, 2023;. The research procedure is explained in Figure 1.…”

“…Research conducted by Zakaria and Purwoko (2021) states that critical thinking abilities must be acquired through education, specifically through developing futureready living abilities. Students are declared to have the ability to think critically on five indicators, namely: 1) making decisions on problem-solving steps, 2) analyzing, 3) making inferences, 4) evaluating, and 5) making conclusions (Jatmiko et al, 2021;Neswary & Prahani, 2022;Rizki et al, 2023;Rohmah & Prahani, 2021;Saphira & Prahani, 2022). Learning media can help measure the critical thinking ability of BBL model students.…”

“…The game used in this study belongs to the adventure genre, while the AR technology utilized is marker-based AR. These two technologies are integrated into a mobile application called Adventuring Physics (Rizki et al, 2023), thus giving rise to the Cooperative and Adventuring Physics (CAP)-based learning model. Through this innovative learning approach, students are actively engaged in collaborative learning, benefit from an enhanced understanding of the subject matter through sophisticated visualizations, and gain new and immersive learning experiences (Suprapto et al, 2021).…”
