“…Tramadol was administered for analgesia during the immediate postoperative period, with the first dose administered intravenously. Tramadol is an analgesic that acts centrally with several mechanisms of action (Choi et al 2011); it is a µ-opioid agonist, as well as an inhibitor of serotonin and norepinephrine synaptic re-uptake and facilitates spinal modulation of pain (Nossaman et al 2010;Lu et al 2014).
