Introduction: Toddlers are at risk to health problems, one of which is malnutrition. One of the important determinants to toddlers’ growth is nutrition. Giving solid foods to toddlers can be done by active/responsive feeding combined with the method that best suits the stage of playing toddlers. This paper aimed to provide an overview of the intervention of Resfeed-Play as a form of community nursing intervention on 32 children aged 6-24 months with malnutrition. Implementation of the intervention Resfeed-Play was performed in families and in society in nutrition support activities.Methods: The method was quasi-experimental with one group pre-post-test design. The inclusion sample criterion was family with toddlers who suffered from malnutrition.Results: The results of evaluation of Resfeed-Play shows an increase in knowledge (24.2%), attitude and skills by 30.3% and 42.4%, respectively. After intervention of six months, the mean weight gain for toddler was 0.95Kg. Based on paired sample t-test, the weight gain is significant with a P value of 0.001 (P <0.05). Resfeed-Play intervention can increase body weight in toddlers and can address the problems of malnutrition in children under five.Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, Resfeed-Play intervention is recommended to increase community empowerment through positive activities such as post-activity nutrition in order to prevent and mitigate the problem of malnutrition in toddlers.

Pendahuluan: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) adalah salah satu penyakit kronis yang tidak bisa disembuhkan, hanya bisa dikontrol dan diwaspadai setiap orang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran aktivitas self care pada pasien DM tipe II. Metode: Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriptif, dengan populasi pasien dengan DM tipe II. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Sukajadi Bandung. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Cohen sample size dengan jumlah sampel berdasarkan sampel size yaitu 67 responden. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen SDSCA. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis univariat diantaranya karakteristik demografi dan aktivitas self care pasien DM Tipe II. Hasil: Nilai mean aktivitas self care yang paling tinggi yaitu pada variabel diet, dan yang paling rendah yaitu pada variabel monitoring gula darah. Artinya, dalam penelitian ini pasien DM cenderung memerhatikan pola diet daripada memonitoring gulah darah. Kesimpulan: Dari keseluruhan rangkaian Aktivitas self care, pasien DM cenderung memerhatikan pola diet daripada aktivitas lainya seperti; memonitoring gulah darah, melakukan aktifitas fisik, perawatan kaki, pengobatan dan merokok. Aktivitas self care yang komprehensif akan membantu meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien DM. Keterlibatan lintas sektor, masyarakat dan keluarga adalah bagian penting untuk meningkatkan kesadaran pasien DM untuk meningkatkan aktivitas self care mereka agar dapat mengurangi risiko keparahan dari penyakit DM.

“…Members of the wellness team included the school nurse, the physical education teacher, a special education teacher, a school library professional, the principal and assistant principal, and personnel from community partner organizations, including the local health department. The PRECEDE portion of the PRECEDE-PROCEED model was utilized to design the needs assessment since the goal was to identify multiple factors contributing to a high prevalence rate of childhood obesity in order to design an intervention that could target one or more of the identified factors (Ervin & Kulbok, 2018). Multiple assessment methods were utilized including key stakeholder interviews, written parent and teacher surveys, and teacher group discussions to better understand multiple factors related to the high obesity prevalence at the school.…”

Childhood obesity is an important public health issue that can affect child health and academic outcomes. Schools are essential in promoting healthy childhood behaviors through the implementation of programs that reach the whole school community. School nurses can play a key role in designing, implementing, and evaluating feasible strategies, including school-based nutrition and physical activity messaging programs, that meet school-specific needs. This article will explain how school nurses can utilize principles of the Framework for 21st Century School Nursing Practice™ to design programs that engage the whole school community while addressing implementation barriers.
