ADSORPTION OF Pb (II) FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTION ONTO LEWATIT FO36 NANO RESIN: EQUILIBRIUM AND KINETIC STUDIES

Abstract: This investigation focused on the adsorption of Pb (II) onto Lewatit FO 36 resin from aqueous solutions. The effects of initial metal concentration, contact time, pH of solution were factors that affected the adsorption of Pb (II). Adsorption kinetic was better explained by the pseudo second order type 1 kinetic model that was confirmed by the values (R 2 >0.986). The Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin and BET adsorption models were used for the equilibrium studies and Freundlich isotherm better described the adsorp… Show more

“…Finally, the dried soil samples were sent to the MS Analytical, Canada. The soil samples were digested using the Aqua Regia, and the concentration of 3 potentially toxic elements (PTEs) including (As, Cd, Pb) was measured using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) [2] , [3] , [4] , [5] , [6] .…”

“…This resin has a content of approximately 15% iron measured on the basis of dry weight. Sorbents based on hydrated ferric hydroxide, such as LFOR and the natrolite zeolite-iron oxyhydroxide system, 29 are primarily used only for removal of anions and cations such as arsenic, [30][31][32][33][34][35][36] chromate, 37 phosphate, 38 Pb, 39 and Cu, 40 from waters and wastewaters. There are few reports on the use of ion exchanger "resin" for the preparation of modied electrodes.…”

“…In the current study pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order kinetic models to determine the adsorption mechanism were investigated. The equations of these Kinetics are shown in Table 2 [9] , [10] , [11] , [12] .…”
