Adrenocorticotropic Hormone–Secreting Tumor in the Pancreas Identified by PET/CT

Abstract: A 51-year-old woman presented typical symptoms of a Cushing syndrome. MRI scanning of the pituitary gland showed possible enlargement of the right side of the pituitary gland, suggestive of microadenoma. However, a transsphenoidal pituitary tumor resection failed to relieve the symptoms. An FDG PET/CT was performed to further evaluate this patient, which revealed abnormal FDG activity in the pancreas.
