Adjuvant intraperitoneal ceftriaxone in the treatment of septic peritonitis in horses

Abstract: BackgroundIntraperitoneal administration of ceftriaxone maintains therapeutic abdominal concentrations for 24 hours in healthy horses. Therefore, it is a possible treatment for septic peritonitis.
