“…Unlike other rootstocks sensitive to iron deficiency, the GF 677 rootstock is able to perform mechanisms of response against the lower iron soluble concentration in soil, characteristic of Strategy I plants, such as induction of the ferric chelate reductase activity (FC-R) (Gogorcena et al, 2004;Jiménez et al, 2008) and proton extrusion (Molassiotis et al, 2006).
