Differential diagnosis in pathology should include parathyroid adenoma, thyroid adenoma, thyroid lipoadenoma, parathyroid carcinoma, and thyroid carcinoma, with the last two being the lesions of the greatest concern [1][2][3][4][5]. This fat-containing tumor may grossly resemble lipoma more than parathyroid adenoma, so distinguishing these lesions can be challenging during intraoperative consultation, and more importantly en bloc parathyroidectomy could be compromised [5].…”
