Adapted smart home services based on smart contracts and service level agreements

Abstract: In smart home systems (SHS), devices intercommunicate to create an intelligent environment that can monitor the inhabitant's health state and provide adapted services. However, existing health monitoring systems (HMS) do not provide adapted services to the patient autonomy degree. Furthermore, in these critical systems, the Quality of Service (QoS) aspect is very important; therefore, service level agreements (SLA) are the best solution to define and guarantee the expected QoS levels, nevertheless, existing SLA… Show more

“…In [7], a new energy management method for smart buildings, which combined a low-energy Bluetooth wireless network for communication between domestic appliances with the development of a HEMS, was presented. In [8], a new smart home design, based on the Resource Name Service (RES), was proposed. However, none of the previous works considered a renewable energybased system.…”

“…After explaining how Blockchain technology and smart contracts work in a way that does not require coding knowledge to understand, they are aimed to contribute to the Turkish literature on this subject by including three application examples in the field of health. 75 Staifi and Belguidoum 76 have worked on smart home systems and proposed a smart home system based on smart contracts sensitive to elderly health status. Chu et al, 77 have studied what Blockchain technology is, the structure and functioning of smart contracts, and the status of smart contracts in the future.…”
