Z inc is a dietary trace element. Eightysix percent of the total zinc is found in bone and skeletal muscle, 4.2% in the skin, and 3.4% in the liver. Zinc has structural, regulatory, and catalytic functions in proteins. Nutritional deficiencies resulting from inadequate diet, impaired absorption, and defective metabolism can result in distinctive cutaneous manifestations. [1][2][3]
