Dengue is an infectious viral disease, endemic in several regions of Brazil. Since the introduction of the virus in the country, young adults have been the most affected by the disease. However, in recent decades there has been an increase in cases in children. In view of this new scenario, a descriptive, retrospective observational study was carried out, with data from SINAN, which compared the incidence rate of dengue in children under 15 years of age, using the chi-square test, between age groups (under 1, 1 to 4, 5 to 9 and 10 to 14 years), also between genders and between reporting municipalities in Paraná in 2019 and 2020. The monthly distribution and association of the variables fever, leukopenia, presence of petechiae, test of the positive tie and serotype with the age range. Among the findings, May 2019 and March 2020 were the months with the highest rates of each year, with children under 1 year of age being the most affected. Fever was also more present in this group. There was no association of the disease with gender. The most prevalent serotype was DENV-2. Juranda, Inajá and Sertanópolis (14553, 13205 and 13072 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, respectively) were the cities with the highest incidence. Thus, it is expected to contribute to the clinical and epidemiological data of dengue in Paraná, since the disease in this particularly vulnerable population has increased considerably in recent years.

Dengue, transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito, is an acute febrile illness with symptoms ranging from fever to severe complications like hemorrhagic fever. Approximately 500 million people in the Americas are at risk, making it an emerging tropical disease. This study reviews hematological complications associated with dengue from 2003 to 2023, addressing lymphohistiocytosis, thrombocytopenia, coagulation abnormalities, and others. Lymphohistiocytosis, often underdiagnosed due to its similarity to dengue, carries a risk of fatal outcomes. Thrombocytopenia, common in severe cases, is linked to disseminated coagulation. Sickle cell anemia exacerbates dengue due to intravascular hemolysis, leading to hospitalizations and transfusions. Dengue can suppress bone marrow, complicating sickle cell anemia. Hematological findings include thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, and anemia. Early diagnosis and personalized treatment are emphasized, especially for sickle cell patients. Effective management requires an integrated approach, considering each patient's characteristics.

Objetivo: Avaliar ao perfil epidemiológico dos casos de Dengue e sua relação com indicadores de saúde, saneamento e índices pluviométricos no Estado do Pará, entre 2016 e 2021. Métodos: Estudo descritivo e analítico realizado no Pará segundo fatores de risco associados à Dengue. Resultados: Houve diminuição de dengue entre 2016-2018, com picos em 2019 (0.3/1.000hab) e 2021 (0.4/1.000hab) e correlação positiva com índice pluviométrico (r²0.9384; p<0.0001) entre janeiro-dezembro; ao saneamento, correlação negativa com casos. Nos munícipios, maiores casos em Bannach, Conceição do Araguaia e Novo Progresso (entre 14.5-45.2/1.000hab), elevado índice pluviométrico em 71.5% dos municípios; baixa cobertura de atendimento de água e esgotamento em 59% e 87.5% dos municípios, respectivamente; mínima variação anual da AB (60.4%/2016-61.4%/2020) e ESF (58.6/2016-59.4%/2020), previsto queda em 2021. Ao perfil de casos, prevalece mulheres (55.6%; p<0.0001) entre 20 e 39 anos (39.8%; p<0.0001). Conclusão: Houve correlação positiva de casos e índice pluviométrico, baixa cobertura de saneamento e APS nos municípios. Palavras-chaves: Dengue; Índice pluviométrico; Indicadores de saúde
