Abstract: Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disease affecting the neuromuscular junction and causes weakness in the skeletal muscles. The acetylcholine receptor is usually attacked in skeletal muscles, but other components of neuromuscular junction, such as muscle-specific receptor tyrosine kinase, may be affected.
