“…Vietnamese refugees are likely to experience challenges in adapting to the US because the two cultures are very different, and cultural distance, or a larger gap between cultures of two societies, has been shown to make cultural adaptation more difficult (Berry 1997;Liebkind and Jasinskaja-Lahti 2000;Rasmussen et al 2013).
