Similarly, Lund and Rodriguez (1984) did not find 3-CB to be biodegraded unless the inoculum had previously been pre-acclimatised (30d). They also found a sludge acclimatised to 3-methylbenzoic acid for 20d was not only able to degrade 3-CB but did so at a higher rate than sludges acclimatised to 3-CB.…”
